Water Wise Habitat Patch
Tucked into a small lot in Boise Idaho’s Northend, is an unusual Waterwise landscape compared to the neighboring green lawns. This front yard mixes native and non-native drought tolerant plants with various colors, textures and habitat benefits growing next to a raised bed vegetable garden and fruiting espaliered trees. The perennial beds are watered deeply 1-2x per week in the heat of the Summer and less if at all in the Spring and Fall!

This is the garden that served as the test grounds for Isabelle as she studied for her Associates in Horticulture. It quickly developed into a cottage garden full of herbs, perennials, fruiting shrubs and trees and some annuals. This was the Bee Wise Gardens playground for 5 years before moving headquarters to Nampa Idaho.
